Research Fellow (Membrane Technology)

A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

• Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, water reuse, resource recovery etc. Specific work includes experimental setup design and construction, experiment design and testing, process modelling, data processing and reporting, progress report preparation, paper publication, assistance in research proposal preparation, etc

• Mentor junior PhD students, master students, undergraduate students for their research projects

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering

• Excellent journal paper publication record

• Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill

• Oral presentation skill, Multitasking skill

• Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies

• Relevant research experience in the fabrication/synthesis of RO/NF/FO/PRO/ion exchange membranes/organic solvent membranes and/or organic chemical synthesis will be preferred

• Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good communication and writing in English

• Strong responsibility for research
