Babcock University, officially known as Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, is a private Christian co-educational Nigerian university owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria. Established in 1959 as the Adventist College of West Africa, it was upgraded to university status in 1999, making it one of the oldest private universities in Nigeria. The university is named after an American missionary, David C. Babcock, who pioneered the Adventist work in Nigeria.
